Prof. Ngumi is an Anesthesiologist and Critical Care Physician whose interest is to teach and practice medicine with compassion and integrity and to impact on people at all levels of her interactions.
Her area of expertise is cardiac, renal transplant anesthesia and critical care. She studied Anesthesia in both Britain and Maryland,USA, and was the Vice Chancellor’s Commendation ( University of Nairobi) for work done in Operation Smiles to Kenyan Children in 2000.
She is currently the Associate Professor (Anaesthesia), Chairman, Department of Anaesthesia, University of Nairobi and resource person for the Ministry of Health for Anaesthesia and Critical Care and Infection control and for Commission for University education for the Curriculum development and implementation for the training of Physicians in Kenya.
